Here at LENI we are so excited and proud to be making donations to One Tree Planted on behalf of our customers. Your purchases are helping repopulate native forests across New Zealand.
I knew when I started developing the range for LENI that there was more that I could do to be as sustainable as possible in the production process. I mean, there's always more to do, isn't there? Concerned about the negative impact that shipping and production can have on the planet (though we are already organic, low-tox and do our best at zero waste pattern making) I needed to find something else to give back and improve the situation.
Introducing, One Tree Planted! For every order made at Leni The Label, I donate one tree to One Tree Planted who on our behalf have been aiding reforestation across the globe. Your donation is directed to forests across New Zealand.
New Zealand is home to unique forest ecosystems however, native forests like these have suffered from centuries of logging, forest clearance and invasive species that have reduced them to a fraction of their former range.
Your donation will help to plant trees to restore the island’s indigenous forests and create habitat for wildlife, while stabilizing hillsides to prevent erosion and protect local watersheds.
