What is slow fashion and why do we love this concept?

Leni The Label was formed as a reaction to the wasteful practise of fast fashion production. When my children were born I saw a lot of trend based, low quality apparel and homewares that just seemed to be used once and tossed away. I'm hoping to put a more positive stamp on the world my kids will inherit someday and think the way Leni The Label is going about its product offering is a logical step.
Slow fashion is thoughtful, intentional, and holistic. Hitting pause on excessive production, overcomplicated supply chains, and mindless consumption, slow fashion encourages people to buy less and buy well.
This is something we champion here at Leni, using high quality and ethical fabrics.
Our prints are designed to stand the test of time and outlive current trends, in the hope of giving them a long and well loved life.
We don't follow traditional production seasons, instead we produce what we love in a more considered manor, when it is needed. You won't see a new collection released every few months. Instead, we intend to produce something new once or twice a year.
A small collection of nursery homewares, blankets, swaddles, bassinet/change covers and cot sheets made to love and to last. We hope you love it too. Madeleine x

I agree with you and love your approach with your nursery linen. I love to buy quality products for my grandkids knowing they are going to last and be handed down through the family.
Love this! Anything to raise awareness about the toll and effects fast fashion is having on our planet, is fantastic. More companies should take a leaf out of this book and rethink the number of collections they’re putting out each year, rather than the downward slope of the ‘52 seasons’ each year. Nice work LENI!
